The Optris CTlaser 05M is a high performance infrared thermometer designed for very high temperature measurement of molten steel, tungsten, iron, nickel, semiconductors, metals, metal oxides, and ceramics. It features a 0.525 µm spectral range, optical resolution up to 150:1, and fast response time from 1 ms for accurate measurement of hot, shiny materials with reduced emissivity effects.

The pyrometer includes a double laser sighting system that shows the exact measuring spot size and position at any distance, improving measurement accuracy. It has a durable stainless steel M48x1.5 sensing head, two-piece design with separate configurable electronics, and operates in ambient temperatures up to 85°C without cooling (laser protection switch-off at 50°C).

The CTlaser 05M offers flexible integration with outputs including 0/4–20 mA, 0–5 V, 0–10 V, USB, RS232, RS485, relay outputs, Profibus DP, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP. With accessories such as air purge and mounting flanges, plus factory calibration to PTB/NIST standards, it is ideal for demanding industrial processes requiring fast, precise, and reliable temperature measurement.
