Sensors
Sensors are essential for temperature management applications – from the simplest to the most technically complex, and for measurement of non-temperature data. ECEFast provides sensors for a wide range of measurement applications.

Temperature sensors – to capture the temperature of anything from the inside of a concrete block to a food manufacturing or storage facility, to a laboratory fridge, a kiln, or a delivery truck.
Infrared temperature sensors – for temperature measurement with no physical contact.
Non-temperature sensors – to capture data including level, flow, speed (RPM), weight, sound level, vibration, Co2, O2, PH, current, voltage, frequency.
Customised sensors – in-house design, development and manufacture of custom sensors to meet your specialist requirements. We can customise an existing sensor, or design and manufacture a new one from scratch.
Embedded sensors – for use inside material such as concrete, in the ground (for example near a volcano), or inside a waste container.
Probes – for food preparation and food safety.
Thermocouples – specialist cabling to connect controllers and sensors for efficient and accurate operation.
RTDs – Resistance Temperature Detectors
Sensor accessories – cable and connectors, thermowells and protection tubes.
Our specialist engineers will help you define your exact requirements and get you exactly the right sensor for the job.

Environmental Monitoring and Thermal Validation
Environmental monitoring
Environmental monitoring is a must in applications where temperature is critical – for items stored in a fridge or freezer, or products that are subject to a cooking or heat treatment process.
Our automated environmental monitoring systems:

- measure and record the internal
temperature of a controlled
environment.
- measure and record the core
temperature of products as they
are stored or processed.
We provide wireless and hardwired automated monitoring systems, with alarm notifications to alert staff when the temperature of the storage unit (or process) deviates from a desired temperature range.
We provide solutions for:
Product protection – for products such as vaccines, biologics and food products, whose integrity and cost effectiveness depends on temperature. We protect them from spoilage and food-borne illness, during storage, shipping and handling.
Early detection of failures – monitoring to detect mechanical or electrical failures that impact storage temperature (for example in a fridge/freezer). Our systems send alarms to enable rapid action.
Regulatory compliance – vaccines, biologics and food are subject to strict regulatory controls for temperature, humidity, light exposure and more. Our temperature monitoring system can be used during an audit process to demonstrate compliance to these regulations.
Quality control – Environmental monitoring is critical to maintaining product quality in pharmaceutical, biotech, blood banks, emergency medical service and food distribution.
Process efficiency – our solutions automate regular temperature checks, replacing manual checks, which are time consuming and error prone. Our automated monitoring can record temperatures at a predetermined interval (typically every few minutes) 24×7 and enable remote monitoring, from any location.
Thermal Validation
Our thermal validation systems establish documentary evidence that a procedure carried out in testing maintains the desired level of compliance at all stages in production.
They help to qualify systems and equipment throughout your entire process:

- Design Qualification (DQ)
- Component qualification (CQ)
- Installation qualification (IQ)
- Operational qualification (OQ)
- Performance qualification (PQ)
Our thermal validation solutions include:
Food, drug and pharmaceutical regulation – including agencies such as TGA
(Australia).
Pharmaceutical industry – ensuring that the process will consistently produce
the expected results. The desired results are specified as the outcome of the
process.
Food production – where heat is used to sterilise and preserve food.
Medical applications – validating that autoclaves used for sterilising medical
equipment are reaching and maintaining the desired temperature.
The validation process

Calibration
When you use measurement devices, you must be able to show that they are accurate, through a calibration process. For many temperature dependent processes, a simple laboratory calibration is not enough – you will need an ISO 17025 certification from the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA), showing that you meet the standards of the National Measurement Institute (NMI) and/or the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Discuss your calibration needs
Fully traceable to NMI/NIST standards
ECEFast offers a fully compliant calibration service. We compare your device to a reference measurement device, which has, in turn, been calibrated against another reference device from NMI/NIST. This gives you an unbroken chain to the national standards and a proof of calibration that is defendable in law. We are certified by NATA to ISO 17025.
The Benefits of ECEFast calibration

Calibration at our place or yours
In-house laboratory – we can calibrate your equipment at FastLab, our NATA accredited measurement laboratory (No. 5473), for temperature and humidity. It is located at our premises in Notting Hill, Victoria. In the tightly controlled laboratory environment, our range of calibration devices and reference standards enables us to certify sensors from -196°C to 1300°C, instruments across all ranges and enclosures over the range of -196°C to 1300°C
ECEFast is the ONLY Australian manufacturer with an in-house calibration laboratory.
For devices that cannot be sent to our lab, we offer the convenience of our engineers coming to your premises to carry out the calibration.
