Precision Short wavelength IR Camera for Metal applications, 450 °C to 1800 °C

The Optris PI 1M is a short wave infrared thermal camera designed for accurate, non contact temperature measurement of hot, shiny metals such as steel, iron, copper, brass, tin, and semiconductors. Operating in the 0.85–1.1 µm spectral range with a 450°C to 1800°C measurement range, it delivers highly reliable, repeatable results where conventional long-wave thermal cameras often struggle.

The camera provides high resolution thermal imaging (764 × 480 pixels) with flexible frame rates up to 1 kHz for fast processes and line scanning applications. It features a strong distance to spot ratio, making it ideal for monitoring high-temperature industrial processes, metal production, additive manufacturing, and laser processing, with an optional notch filter for laser applications.

Designed and manufactured in Germany, the PI 1M connects via USB and includes PIX Connect software for thermal analysis, line scanning, image merging, and data logging. It also supports developer kits, water cooled housings, air purges, and a wide range of mounting and interface accessories, making it a versatile solution for demanding industrial environments.
