Fast Precision Infrared Camera and Line Scanner for the Glass Industry. 150 °C to 900 °C

The Optris PI 450i G7 is a high performance infrared camera designed for research and industrial process control. It provides accurate non contact temperature measurement from 150°C to 900°C (calibratable up to 1500°C) using a 382 x 288 uncooled microbolometer detector. The special 7.9 µm G7 spectral range is optimized for glass measurement, reducing reflection and angle dependency to achieve reliable surface temperature readings.

With a 17 µm pixel pitch, the camera can measure small areas from 3 x 3 pixels and offers interchangeable lenses for flexible measurement setups. It captures thermal images at up to 80 frames per second, making it suitable for fast-moving production environments. The PIX Connect software provides advanced thermal analysis features, including hot/cold spot detection, temperature profiling, histograms, image processing, radiometric recording, and data export for process monitoring.

The PI 450i G7 also provides a compact alternative to traditional line scanners in the glass industry. Its software based line scan function enables precise temperature monitoring along production lines without bulky mechanical scanners. Designed for industrial environments, the camera can operate in ambient temperatures up to 80°C and supports accessories such as water-cooled housings, air purging systems, and process interfaces for PLC integration. The camera is manufactured in Germany and is available with calibration certificates for traceability.
