Internal Sales – Industrial

Due to consistent growth, we now have an opening for an Internal Sales Engineer with a customer-centric mindset to join our head office team in Melbourne.

Ideally, you will come from a technical background and have a knack for sales as you will play a crucial role supporting our sales team, managing customer enquiries, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and team.

Your role would be to:

• Provide technical support and expertise to our friendly sales team and customers
• Analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate products
• Manage incoming calls and provide accurate detailed product information & quotations in a prompt manner
• Follow up on leads and conduct market research to identify sales opportunities
• Follow up on quotations to increase sales conversions
• Process purchase orders and manage back orders
• Maintain accurate records of quotes and customer interactions
• Ensure timely order processing and shipping
• Handle customer complaints and returns
• Support the sales team with technical insights and guidance
• Collaborating with the calibration and manufacturing teams on sales orders
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers so as to understand their needs and provide a tailored solution

Ideally, you have experience in a similar role or industry, strong technical aptitude, and exposure to sales. Qualifications in Engineering or a similar discipline would be highly regarded as is proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office. You are self-motivated and have outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills and an understanding of industrial measurement systems and process control. You pride yourself on being committed, responsible and proactive in your approach to work.
